Great location and stay!

Excellent location, easy after-hours check-in and great communication. Our room was perfect for our family of 4, and had a cute balcony facing the cathedral. Breakfast was delicious. We ate at the restaurant below and it was also very good. Definitely would stay here again.

Excellent location

This hotel was located in the middle of the Old Town which was very convenient for seeing the Christmas markets. We also ate at the attached restaurant, which was excellent! However, you need to make reservations because it was very full.

Room was very nice. Had a wonderful view overlooking the cathedral. Loved being in the Old Town...very walkable to items of interest in the area. Breakfast was great too! Will stay again.

Great place to stay for Christmas Markets

This property needs significant maintenance and upkeep. Our room had torn curtains, a leaky sink, broken or missing cove moldings, and a container of rodent poison in one corner. Even though our room was nonsmoking it was obvious someone had been smoking in it recently. The location was great with easy access to Xmas markets and the Romerberg but the property itself sucked.

Close to Christmas markets. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. If one is a light sleeper make sure to ask for a room away from cathedral and restaurant; even though view of cathedral is nice.

Convenient Frankfurt location, comfortable hotel.

Great location next to Dom (cathedral) with attached restaurant on the first floor. Restaurant was quite enjoyable. Reasonably sized and comfortable room, although not particularly fancy. Only quibbles were lack of hooks and enough towel racks in the bathroom. Great walking location to many restaurants, the river, downtown, museums, etc. U-bahn station within steps of the hotel with direct line to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station).

Quaint hotel in a great location

Quaint hotel right next to the cathedral. We were sick so we didn’t get to enjoy the area but it’s very nicely located. The staff is awesome. It has a restaurant as well

We lived in Frankfurt years ago and wanted to stay near the Romer. This hotel is close to the S-bahn and U-bahn accesses. Conveniently in old town Frankfurt it was perfect to wrap up our vacation right by the main Christmas market. The morning breakfast is fantastic! You are offered fresh eggs how you like them if you so choose, and they will make you a coffee or cappuccino. Our room was right above the restaurant so it was a bit noisy in the evening but the restaurant closes around 10. The bathroom was great and spacious, and the bed comfortable.

Great location, nice place

We selected this place for the location near the Christmas Markets and it did not disappoint. We were never more than 20 min from most of the markets but the hotel had a nice, quiet space about it. The room was clean and perfect for our needs. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Our only feedback is the room was a bit warm for our tastes even with the heat turned down, and the beds weren’t as comfortable as others we experienced. Also, with the cathedral next door, the room was brighter with the lights coming in. We had dinner at the restaurant below and the food was very good too.

Generally, it is a nice small hotel located in the heart of Frankfurt. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. However, my room was in the third floor and the radiator heating system did not function well. Additionally, not like other rooms, I didn’t have an electronic heater in my room for backup.

We enjoyed our time in Frankfurt and at the Paulaner. Breakfast was very good and the staff were all great. Note that there is nowhere for them to store luggage. This was not a problem for us as we had a car and the parking was just under the market area, very close and convenient. Location in prime.

The room was very clean and had good space. Not a tiny room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Paulaner restaurant on site was great for a fun atmosphere, a beer and a good dinner!

Had an amazing stay and walking distance to the Christmas market was a huge plus

We only stayed 1 night on our way home to the US and chose this property because of it's location to the Christmas Market. This was the best location we could have asked for. Everything was within a 5-10 minute walk and the view of the cathedral was breathtaking. Definitely recommend.

A good find

We had a bad day with a 9 hour train trip taking 12+ hours. The hotel was very sympathetic and organised to leave a key in the safe box so we could get in after the front desk closed. We were able to get dinner at 9.50pm in the adjacent beer hall/garden The hotel is small and so was our room but it was very well located for walking around central Frankfurt and the river. And we were delighted to find a four person lift for getting to floor 3 and a generous breakfast. Because the hotel is small it can only store luggage at the desk but this worked fine

Amazing stay at this hotel. Excellent breakfast, and the view from our window of the Dom was breathtaking. Suoer convenient to U and S Bahn stations to airport.

Close walk to everything in old town square. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Excellent meal for supper at the restaurant.

They need A/C in the rooms

I would highly recommend Paulaner am Dom. The staff there are amazing, super friendly and helpful. The hotel is located 4 min away from the city main square, super convenient location. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. Also the breakfast was included and had a great selection of food. Definitely worth the price.

Basic, but nice enough

Service friendly, but they had to find someone to check me in. Rooms basic but really clean. I asked for an extra bedsheet, but got a duvet cover instead. It did the job. No aircon, but there was a fan. Staff from the restaurant downstairs were kind enough to give me ice on both nights for the room as it was super hot. Very central. Will stay again

Easy to get to the hotel per public transportation from the airport. Appreciated early check in opportunity. Friendly staff and best of all, the breakfast buffet. Enough food for the day!

Excellent location in the historic center of Frankfurt and close to the river. Friendly staff and basic, but comfortable, accommodations. The Paulaner brand is the same as the beer, and a Biergarten is integrated with the hotel. This was very convenient, as the food and beer were very good. It might be a little loud late in the evening if you want to go to bed early, but we had no trouble sleeping to the sound of people having fun. Overall, a great value for the price.

This property is a great value, especially considering the included breakfast. Great location to explore the old town. Our room was quite small and practical - almost like a student residence. The shower is quite small. The biggest downside for us, was the lack of air conditioning. This wouldn't be an issue for most of the year, but this was July, and even with the windows open and two fans on, the room temperature was almost unbearable during the day. Bed was nice, but sleeping was difficult due to the heat.

The room was clean and comfortable. A fan was provided since there is no air conditioning.The breakfast staff went out of their way to make us special coffee drinks and eggs and the restaurant is spectacular!

Very nice property with super nice staff. Premise restaurant is a combo beer garden and restaurant. And not bad at all. No ac and the room was a bit stuffy but windows do open wide. TV either had only two channels or was too complicated for us to figure out. All sai, we would happily stay there again.

The hotel is located very conveniently with short walks to public ttansportation, i.e. both U-Bahn and Airport S-Bahn. Very nice breakfast buffet and mamy restaurants around the neighborhood.

Great time

I’ve location by cathedral. Staff were friendly and breakfast was superb. Great service and great coffee really impressed. Room was a bit tired but I wouldn’t let it put you off. A great stay

Location very convenient if you wants to visit the historical side. Everything is walking distance. Rooms are very clean and breakfast is great. People are very kind and helpful

A see thru bathroom door so visible on the toilet weird. Hot room, only a fan , no aircon, no fridge. Noise from restaurant below extremely loud nightly until close 12md then street cleaners at 6 am. Fleesy sheet and a doona so no access to sheet. Would not recommend a stay here

Do not book here.

We arrived late and check in was okay. This room had no sheets in the bed and was dirty and smelled very bad. We literally laid on top of the bed and remained dressed. We were placed on the first floor and awoken in the morning to loud banging- resulting in absolutely no sleep. The Reaturant said it was open when we arrived at 10:30 pm until 12 midnight but it closed just before 11pm.

Liked everything, especially location . Didn’t like nosiness at night from the street.

Big disappointment .crampt 2 star hostal

Very disappointed. Not speaking German I wanted a hotel with reception and relaxing space like a foyer. Reception not manned . Bad smell in bathroom . Pillows awful. No one in reception in morning to tell us breakfast was included . Small room with lack of choice and not appealing so ate elsewhere . Worst hotel despite great reviews which Is why I chose it . Never again

Paulaner Am Dom was a great place to stay in Frankfurt to experience the beautiful Romerberg area nearby. It was quiet and very safe and parking was fairly close by but I wish it was closer and Paulaner communicated where it was to guests prior to arriving, especially international guests. I thought the room was pretty with its balcony and view (I got the premium room) but I wish the floors were more cleanly and the room had a bit more amenities. There was no A/C, which wasn’t a big issue since I went in April and it was colder out, but also there wasn’t even a mini-fridge and the bed felt more like sleeping on a cot. For the price and location, it was well worth it, though. I would stay again!

Really enjoyed our stay here in Frankfurt. Great location, tasty breakfast, and clean rooms. Nice resturant downstairs and enjoyed hearing the church bells in the morning.

Our room had no air conditioning...which was okay when we opened the windows. However, there was an outside restaurant under our second floor room. The patrons were having a great and LOUD time! It made it very difficult to sleep. Just request an inside room and you'll be fine!

I like the older German charm and location the most. Only negative was the breakfast online said 7am and we had to leave for airport at 8 am. But when we checked in they said sorry breakfast don't start till 8am on weekends. So we kind of felt a little like we threw that money away. It was a shame my daughter and I was looking forward to that breakfast before we left and it was part of the reason we picked the hotel. The staff had 2 young ladies at the counter. Both of them were amazing and wonderful. Love this place will stay here every time if I can when I am in Frankfurt.

Property is a little run-down, rooms very bland. No shampoo, soaps etc in the shower. Stayed there night before a holiday, a good deal of noise from the attached bar.

Everything was great! Comfy beds, great area, and wonderful breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

This place gave “youth hostel” vibes at a premium price. The room was very tight and very basic. There were no extra pillows and toiletries were minimal, my expectation for a room going for 300 tonight was a little bit more than what we got. The restaurant downstairs had great food for a great price. However, I was shocked to see them serve a gentleman who had been clearly passed out drunk at his table, and when he came to and asked for another round, they gave it to him! Unlucky for us, he was also a guest at the hotel, and was very loud at the early hours of the morning wandering the halls. Unfortunately, there was no staff at the hotel overnight to address the noise issue so we simply had to put up with it.

Breakfast was excellent. Room is a bit on the simplistic side, with most of the things we need though. The window was above a street with bars, so you can hear people shouting occasionally.

This was a great value and close to the rebuild olde town. I highly recommend. Probably best deal I have experienced on hotels.com.

In the heart of Frankfurt

Friendly staff, clean room, kettle in room was much appreciated as not a given in Germany. My room had a balcony which was great. A little small and basic but fine for a short stay. Lovely, tasty and plentiful breakfast, very attentive service. Restaurant is superb.

At the heart of old town in Frankfurt

Nice decent accommodation, next to attached infamous beer restaurant. The location of the hotel is perfect. Easily accessible from train station and there is U-bahn / subway station nearby. The hotel itself is traditional style with majority wooden but already modernized with a elevator. The place is warm enough during cold winter month. Although might be a concern during hot summer day as seems no air conditioned; a theme in German.

Basic hotel with a great location

My mom and I stayed here for just one night before our flight home. The hotel is basic, and almost had the feel of a hostel (but with private rooms and bathrooms). The staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was nice. The location was excellent and close to public transit and sites in Frankfurt.

Perfect for 1, very clean, great safe location

This space was perfect for one. A lovely comfortable bed, beautiful clean sheets and towels, the room was sparkling clean. The location was phenomenal- close walking distance (only 2 mins) to the Christmas Markets. A very safe location for a solo female traveler. Friendly check-in staff watched people entering the small hotel closely. Breakfast was very nice, a small dining room with a buffet of pastries, cold meats, cheese and cereal, and they made scrambled or fried eggs, and cappuccino or lattes to order, all included.

Great location

Hotel is in an ideal location just a 2 minute walk away from the Christmas market. It is clean, our room was quite a generous size and although quite basic it had everything you need. Breakfast had a good choice and they cooked you eggs to order. The restaurant at the hotel serves excellent local food & is very popular so you will need to book in advance.

Cute little hotel

The hotel is attached to a restaurant. I was sceptical of the condition of the room when I arrived. It is a old school building. To my surprise it was a splendid stay . Very cute hotel and had good bed. I slept well . The location also perfect by Dom Romer . Staff was very patient with me and helped with few things. All the staffs there were friendly and nice . Breakfast was great too.

I love the location of the hotel! It's very convenient! I wished i had more time to enjoy a meal at the restaurant attached to the hotel. Breakfast was amazing! The staff who is making coffee/tea and cooking all the eggs for everyone is super wonderful. I could not thank her enough for her service. Really appreciated it! The one thing i do not like is how i can hear everything from the neighbours living next to our room and above our room as well, from full conversation to opening doors and showers

Pleasant stay

The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is very convenient to every places we want to see . Across the hotel is the beautiful cathedral of St Bartholomew . No need a car or taxi just walk and enjoy .

Super close to Römerberg area! Clean and easy check in. It was a bit noisy outside our window until about midnight but was quiet after that!

Great location.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. There are three teams that are close by that take you to the HBH but most attractions are within an easy, flat walking distance. Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of choices both hot and cold with very good coffee The restaurant downstairs has very tasty Bavarian style menu and terrific beer BUT as others have noted it’s very noisy at night and in warmer months the windows are the only source of cooler air. We had a fan which helped and the windows when closed shut out most of the noise. I would stay here again but ask for a room that was on the other side and higher up.

Wonderful location but the rooms directly above the beer garden are noisy at night until midnight. Staff were very helpful and courteous.

The hotel is a great base for visiting Frankfurt - a quick walk to the old town and metro and even quicker to the neighbouring Kaiserdom. The breakfast in the am was perfect fuel for the day’s activities. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

What a gem of a hotel. We arrived at 8am and the receptionist told us we can check into our room instead of waiting until 2pm. The room was big and clean. The location couldn't have been any better. Right in the old town and just up from the river. The beergarden outside was a great area for some steins. The free breakfast buffet was fantastic. We only had 1 night in Frankfurt, if we come back we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
